Details of Approach

I implement effective psychotherapy methods to instil self-understanding among clients and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the client and counsellor alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behaviour and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering.
I worked with a diverse range of clients. Moreover, I have previously work in Mountjoy Prison, where I supported inmates and provided a non-judgmental ear and a safe space where they could share. In addition, I volunteered in Cheeverstown working with people with intellectual disabilities, where I was engaging and encouraging the residents in social activities.

I hold a BA ( Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Irish College of Humanities and Applied Science (ICHAS), a Diploma in Traumatology and PTSD, Certificate in Motivational Interviewing and have completed Workshops in Trauma informed Practice and Working with Sexual Trauma.
