Clarity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Counselling
Details of Approach
CBT has been around for many years, as an evidence based practice. It helps people challenge their negative thoughts, that impact how they feel and behave. In CBT, you will work with your therapist to help you understand your challenges, recognize patterns of thinking and behaviours that can be contributing to your difficulties. You will then work together with the therapist to understand your thoughts, beliefs and emotions that may be contributing to the challenges. You will work towards understanding which of these are unhelpful and negative, so that you can begin to challenge them, and thereby minimize the effect they have on your mood, emotions and ability to live a full life. The next step is to identify behaviours based on these negative thoughts and what you can do to change them. This will hopefully help you to find ways to think and behave more positively, enjoying life more.
I use a mix of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Integrative methodology to help clients process their thoughts and challenges. This combination allows clients to unravel how they are feeling in a safe environment, while working on strategies and coping mechanisms to help them help themselves. I work with adolescents, teenagers and adults in person and online.
